There are several different flavours of CBR rear wheel, you don't want to try
and fit them all to a street Hawk...
- CBR600F2, this is what I've got... it's 3.5" wide, and has the speedo drive
- CBR600F3 onwards, this is lighter, but with no speedo drive
First, I sent the
white wheel
off to be powder coated black. I then fitted the Hawk brake rotor, you can leave
the CBR ones on for monster stoppies, but you'll need to fit F2 forks for the
caliper mounts. I had to file a little (maybe 1mm) from the caliper mounts on
the fork leg to get the rotor to fit, and you'll need to take the pads out to fit
it!
I'm now running Pirelli Diablos, in 120/70/17 on the front wheel,
and a 170/60/17 on the
rear.
